Boiler explosion in Nandi Cooperative Sugar Factory: Four seriously injured
An incident took place in Nandi Cooperative Sugar Factory where the newly installed boiler exploded and four workers were seriously injured.
A new boiler was recently installed at the Nandi Cooperative Sugar Factory at Krishnanagar in Babaleshwar taluk of Vijayapur district. This boiler exploded during experimental testing. Four people were seriously injured in this accident.
SS Engineers of Poona had installed a boiler for the newly established Nandi Cooperative Sugar Factory, but during the experimental testing, it suddenly exploded, seriously injuring four people, and an atmosphere of anxiety reigned in the place.
The 220 tonne capacity boiler was constructed at a cost of Rs 51 crore. But this boiler, which was built at a cost of crores of rupees, has now exploded and it has been alleged that the management board led by President Shashikanta Patil has misused power.
